The Great Reset refers to something(?) proposed by the World Economic Forum ins 2016(?), a key point of which was “You will own nothing and be happy”. Digging into this a bit there are two possible outcomes:
- You will ‘rent’ all of your possessions from an elite few / the government.
- A true socialist utopia, where all possessions are communal property, right down to the clothes on your back and the food you eat. While this one harkens to a humanist Star Trek / Orville reality, it seems too far fetched to really comprehend.
thinking about this reminds me of what it means to be Independent, 🌿 Getting off the algorithm, taking back my personal freedom. It maybe conflicts with Personal Finance in the sense that theres a contradiction in actual independence and owning money that is or is not controlled by the government. It also gets me thinking about Web 3.0, blockchain, and of course 01 - 🪴 My Digital Garden.
